Loon Meadow Farm is located on Loon Meadow Drive in Norfolk CT, a quaint village located in the beautiful Litchfield Hills region of the southern Berkshires in northwest Connecticut. Norfolk borders Massachusetts and is minutes from New York's Rt 22 corridor. We are very convenient to all of Litchfield County, in Connecticut, the southern Berkshire region of Massachusetts and Columbia County in New York. Loon Meadow Farm is owned and operated by Beth and Steve Podhajecki and encompasses 20 open and wooded acres.

We are home to French Percheron and North American Spotted Draft carriage horses as well as two frisky Standardbred horses, Star a "retired" harness racer and his sweetheart Molly. Ceasar, our Jack Russel Cairn Terrier mix loves to ride on the carriages and sports a nifty bow tie for formal events! Loon Meadow Farm's Horse & Carriage Livery has been providing horsedrawn vehicles for private and public events, both locally and throughout Connecticut and its surrounding states for over two decades.

SUMMER Norfolk is home to the Yale University summer school of music and art, which hosts the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival every June and July. Also unique to Norfolk is the lovely restored 19^th century Greenwoods Theater, performing live stage productions throughout the summer. AUTUMN The hills of Norfolk are a spectacular tableau of fall foliage. Take in the splendor from one of our carriages or wagons. Several state parks and Norfolk's Land Trust offer miles of maintained trails, two impressive natural waterfalls and spectacular views.

WINTER Known as "the Icebox of Connecticut" Norfolk's high elevation accounts for the town's reputation of the most snow in the area. The perfect location for a private ride in a horse drawn sleigh!

SPRING What better way to celebrate spring than a ride through the revolutionary era village. The carriage can pick you up at one of Norfolk's popular restaurants, an English style pub or Infinity Hall Bistro, both are open year round.
